Yet again, Jayson Burke found himself completely bored out of his mind. For some reason that seemed to be happening a lot, you'd think in a town like this someone could find just about anything they wanted to do, but recently it seemed like everything just sounded boring or was overdone or some other excuse like those.
On this night of boredom, Jayson had decided enough sitting around at home or getting drunk at the bar, maybe something calm and simple, like a random walk around the street, would be all he needed to get out of this little rut titled boredom. So far though, it seemed this too was a lost cause, everyone else was probably out having fun and not walking randomly around. Oh well, eventually, maybe, something interesting would happen. So...bored...must...find...SOMETHING. Audrey hadn't been this bored since she had been grounded, and that had been at least three years ago. She laid on her bed, thinking of possible things to save her life, or also known as plans. Maybe I should just walk around or something.
Audrey walked outside, sitting down on her front steps. Looking out, all she saw was darkness, accented by a few street lights. She was about to look down when something grabbed her attention. Could it be? Was another person actually being as bored as her?
"Hey! Hey you! Come over here!" Audrey knew they might find her to be a bit weird, but she didn't care. She also knew that the person could possibly be a killer, but she didn't care about that either. That being the case was highly doubtful anyway. I've never known a killer to live somewhere where there are no secrets like this town.

Jayson was very close to just following through with the thought that finding anything at all interesting was a lost cause and he should just go home. But then some random girl on her steps yelled at him to go over there. Usually, the response would've been a very clear 'fuck off', but tonight he was actually wanting something to do, and who knows, maybe random girl would pull him out of boredom.
Mentally rolling his eyes at himself, he crossed the street and walked over to the house where the girl sat. She looked semi-familiar but they'd probably just seen each other at school or something cause he couldn't think of a name or anything.
Yes, he realized there was a chance (very, extremely small chance) that she was some pyscho killer just looking for victims, but really how likely would that be? And randomly yelling at people to come talk wasn't a way to get victims anyway.
Okay, so he was now standing in front of the girl, now what? He just waited for her to speak, since she was the one who'd wanted his attention.

Audrey watched him walk across the street, her 'plan' working. I'm pretty sure I won't be bored soon. She was kind if surprised he didn't curse her off. That probably would have been her first instinct if they were in opposite situations. He finally reached her, and there was a few seconds worth of silence. "Are you bored too?" You're an idiot. There were a million other things she could have said that were better, not to mention more interesting.

"Are you bored too?" That was obvious, wasn't it? He was pretty sure that answer was yes but maybe that was just him and not her. "Extremely" he answered simply. "If I wasn't I don't think I'd come to random strangers yelling at me from across the street." Maybe that wasn't the best response, but oh well. A few more seconds worth of silence and he figured the least he could do was to introduce himself. "I'm Jayson" he said, again another simple statement.

"I'm bored too. I wouldn't have yelled out to you if I wasn't. Well, maybe I would have." Audrey could be a bit weird. "My name's Audrey." Jayson seemed to be cool, but she wasn't sure. They just met, and jumping to conclusions wasn't something she did. It wasn't the smartest thing to do either. "Why does this place have to suck so much?" Sometimes she hated it more than the time she spent living with her parents. And that said something.

"I kinda guessed that you were too." Audrey, cool name. But he only thought that, for some reason the compliments that formed in his head never seemed to go from his brain to his mouth, sometimes that was a good thing though.
"Why does this place have to suck so much?" "I'm still trying to figure that out and I've been here... well, longer than I'd like to count. It does suck." Really, he didn't necessarily hate it here. But the place could be a bit dull. And it could be more than a little annoying, especially around any of those annoying little people who thought the ruled the place. Audrey didn't seem like she was one of those people though, so far she seemed pretty cool. A bit random, but who ever said that was a bad thing?

"Yeah. Most people here are bored. Unless you're part of the Royalty. They're usually out sleeping with some stranger." Wasn't that always the story that went around school? So-and-so slept with so-and-so. It got old. And quite repetitive. It was always the same people. "I've been here for a while too. But I've had my fair share of fun. In my opinion, I haven't had enough though." She never thought you could have enough fun. Maybe it was just her, but she felt it was true for everyone.

"Who would want to be part of that?" Jayson responded to her comment on the royalty around here. She obviously wasn't one of them, which was a good thing, and obviously he wasn't either. "You'd think they'd get bored with sleeping with the same random strangers after a while, but somehow they just never stop. Their problem though I guess." He listened to her next comment and laughed a little. "You can never have your share of fun though, you always need more. At least that's how I see it, you have your fun for the moment but then later you always need more." To him, there was no such thing as 'enough fun'. Why would you ever want to stop having fun, when there was always more to be had somewhere?

"I honestly don't know. I definitely don't want to," Audrey replied to his first comment. She grinned a bit at his next comment. "They sleep with that person just so many times, and then the girls find themselves pregnant." She actually found that to be quite funny. They think it'll never happen to them, and then it does. Karma sucks sometimes. Audrey agreed with what he said next. "Exactly. There's too much fun to ever have enough. Maybe enough for one day or something, but never enough for a lifetime."

"I definately don't want to either" he said then gave a laugh at the comment about the girls getting pregnant. "They should expect it though, if they sleep around enough, just maybe they'll get a baby for even more of that attention they crave." Personally, Jay thought it was ridiculous the way some of the people around here were. Granted he probably wasn't any better, with the exception of that he was always drunk or in some other way not thinking very clearly during random sex, and that he was pretty sure random drunken boys from the bar wouldn't end up pregnant. If they did, well, just ew, that was too screwed up to even think about.
He agreed with what she said next too. "Exactly. And fun never runs out so you shouldn't want to stop having it, ever. Even when you're 80 and wrinkled or something, you'll still want fun. Or you should anyways."

"Yeah, they'd love the attention, but the baby would be such a drag. They'd probably wind up giving it up for adoption so they can have some more." Audrey was glad they agreed on their feelings towards the Royalty, but she expected it. Not many people liked them. "When I'm 80, I'm gonna be out partying every night and getting shitfaced." She laughed at that, though she thought it'd be pretty awesome if that happened. I'd be the coolest old woman around.

"Yep. They'd have the baby and want to keep it, then after a week of him or her crying they'd be running off to give it up. And then a few months later they'll be pregnant again, and repeat the same exact thing. No fun at all." He was glad he wasn't the only one around here who hated the royalty and how they acted so superior, but really he wasn't too surprised, many people seemed to hate them as well. He laughed at her comment too. "I'll be right out there with you" he said and laughed more. "God I can see it now, 80 year olds out at some night club getting drunk and acting like we're 18. Now that would be fun to see. And do, if I actually live to be 80." That would be pretty freaking cool. If the 80 year olds were actually fun that is, not like old whiny people like most grandparents and people in old folks homes. Jay knew that'd never happen to him, he'd be having way to much fun to end up being a grouchy old man.

"I'm gonna live to be 80. I'm immortal," Audrey laughed. "Or, if I was confined to a wheel chair, I'd be having wheelchair races. I'd be betting on them too." She thought this would be the best way to spend the end of her life. Having fun and acting like a kid. Isn't that what life's all about? She thought it was. "Yeah, but I could seriously see myself doing that stuff. And my kids, if I even have any, would hate me for it," she said, laughing once again.

Jayson laughed even more. "You should share some of that immortality then, so you won't be the only 80 year old out there to race wheelchairs and dance at night clubs." That would be the best way to end life if he actually got there. Though with the way he lived now, he really doubted he'd live to see 80. But hey, he could dream, right? "I can see me doing that too. And I'm pretty sure I won't have kids, but if I do then I'll be dragging them with me to the nightclubs so they'll be loving it too." He was still laughing, as he talked, but she could still understand him. He was starting to be glad she'd randomly yelled at him now, this was way more fun than wandering aimlessly or sitting at home.
