Alex walked along the shore, today was a good day. Though he hadn't met very many people he didn't need to. He had his music and that's all that mattered to him. His feet dug into the dry sand as he slowly mad his way to the wet stuff. It sucked at his feet like a sponge.
His smile was somewhat bright today. The unusual set of teeth that no one got to see. The wind blew his hair lightly and he stared out at the cool-green blue water as the waves washed over his feet. He was lost in a world of his own creation. To caught up in it to notice that something was in front of him.
Alex let out a small gasp as something hit against his legs. He looked down to see a girl and he stepped back, his smile changing to something smaller than it had been, just friendly but not to big."Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going."he apologized with a light friendly smile. He took a second to look her over, then decided to introduce himself."Name's Alex."he said, a little interested in making conversation. Which was a little surprising considering, he was never one to start to much of a conversation. He normally let the other person start it.

He laughed softly as she apologized as he had, then took a seat next to her. Inviting himself without permission. He did it all the time."It's a pleasure to meet you Hayden."he said with a small smile, looking over at her for a moment and then down at the sand."What brings me out to the beach?"he repeated out loud, putting some thought into it."Hmm, I believe that would be a thing called boredom.."he said with a light chuckle."What about you?"he asked, his eyes bright but his smile remained small and friendly. He looked over at her and his smile grew slightly.

He chuckled softly watching her before looking out at the water."Hmm, I see."he said with a light nod, glancing at her before looking back at the water. He played with one of his snake bites, moving strands of hair out of his face."This is one of my favorite times to come down here."he said, out of the blue. Staring off at the bright horizon as the sun washed over the ocean."So beautiful."he added glancing at her with a small smile.

Alex heard the familiar name of his hometown and he smiled."I came from Chicago as well.."he said with a small shrug, looking down at the sand for a small second before staring back at her."Only a couple days. Not enough for me to get unpacked in anyway."he said with a small chuckle, looking down at the sand and then over at her again. He had a habit of moving around a lot. He could never sit still when he was little.

Alex smiled, someone new, just like him. She would know what he was going through. He nodded slightly at her second statement."Yep, just enrolled."he said with a small laugh."i assume that's where you will be going?"he asked, looking at her then staring down at the ground for a moment. He smiled, looking back at her, brushing the hair out of his face.

Alex nodded slightly, getting the just of where she was coming from. He to missed his home town and could see some of the old places he used to get his inspiration."Yeah, me too."he said with a small nod, looking down at the sand for a quick second then back at her."Some of my greatest pieces of art was made their."he said with a small smile. He glanced over at her and smiled.

He looked over at her, changing his position slightly."Well, mainly there. I did photography but althogether I play the piano, the guitar, write music, write lyrics, drawing, photography, and film-making... I have had to put off a few of those things in coming here."he said with a small smile, sighing lightly the more he thought about it.He glanced down at the ground for a moment and then looked back at her with a small smile."Hmm, my aunt had to get a new job, in doing so we moved here. I no longer live with my parents, it's a long complicated story."Alex said, not wanting to really talk about it. That's one thing he didn't like talking about was his past. It's in the past, so why not just get over it?"What about you?, What caused you to leave the city?"he asked with the small smile returning to his face.

Alex just laughed slightly at her comment, nodding his head slightly."That's cool."he said with a nod. Moving around in the sand a little to look more at her.He listened as she tried to explain the reason for her coming down. Understanding completely when she hesitated."Oh. I see. Well, glad you got away from it."Alex said with a small smile, glancing down at the ground for a moment before looking back up at her.He couldn't think of any way to make a conversation, taking a comfortable silence for a moment before he asked a question."Who's Damon?"he asked, the question just sort of brewing in his mind.

Alex laughed slightly at how she phrased it."Sounds like a pretty cool brother to me."he said with a small nod, looking down at the sand for a moment, glancing over at her as he stretched."I don't have any siblings."he said with a small chuckle, placing his legs out in front of him, his hands supporting him slightly as he leaned back."So what other interesting things about you do you care to share?"he asked, fully interested in getting to know her.

Alex chuckled at her statement to what he said, nodding slightly in amusement.Alex sat back up, pulling his legs to where his feet touched his bottom, wrapping his arms around them as he listened to her, though he made eye contact the whole time.Alex chuckled softly, it was some what of what he was expecting, which was good. She didn't seem like someone to ramble about her past or silly things that you really didn't need to know. To Alex, the things she told was basically the things you needed to know about a person and a list was racking up in his head as she spoke."Hmm, well... I play the guitar and piano...... I love the beach...... I sort of have an alcohol problem but I can stop myself if I wanted to..... My favorite colors are anything neon or bright...... and...... that's pretty much all I can think of."he said with a light chuckle, looking over at her with a small smile, releasing his legs from his grip so that his legs stretched out again.

He glanced out at the ocean's water, orange and yellow painted the sky as well as the ocean. The sun was setting and to him, all he saw was a perfect painting opportunity. Always the one to think of art.Upon coming out of his own world he glanced at her and smiled, unsure of how to make conversation. He was always talkative when he wanted to be but he did have his shy moments."Hmm."he sighed, glancing back at the water. He moved around in the sand for a moment before standing up. His hands instantly brushing the sand off of his pants as he stared down at her."Care to walk around, with me?"he asked, questioning how he phrased it. A little hesitant when saying it. He offered his hand.
[sorry if it sucks, I'm a little out of it today.]
