Ehh, I think it sucks, but I felt like posting it. I hope it doesn't make your eyes bleed.
Stepping into the cold, dark room, she could feel eyes burning holes into her skin. While exploring an abandoned house, she had stumbled upon this room. A dark figure appeared, silently grabbing her while a soft gasp of surprise escaped her throat. The figure put it’s mouth to her neck, the thought coming to mind saying, I’ve been waiting for this. It sunk it’s sharp teeth into the soft flesh, drawing blood. She became dizzy, almost falling to the ground. The figure held her steady while she was in this state, waiting for it to pass. Suddenly a dim light appeared, growing brighter and brighter by the minute.
Ashlynn opened her eyes to the bright morning sun, groaning softly. She didn’t want to wake up. So what if she had school? That never stopped her in the past. Sleep was more important. Plus, she had wanted to stay home and spy on the new kids in town. She had seen them a few nights ago, but that was it. They were school-aged, though they didn’t go to her school. Too bad, they would liven it up a bit, she thought to herself.
Looking at a clock, Ashlynn saw it was 9:30. “School’s out of the question,” were the words that came out of her mouth, directed towards no one but herself. Pulling back the covers and standing up, she walked downstairs and into the kitchen, feeling slight hunger pangs. You missed school -- again. Try to maybe do something productive today, read a note left by her mother. Crumpling up the note and throwing it across the room, she opened the refrigerator to find something to eat. A few seconds later, she heard the sound of claws against hard wood flooring. A puppy turned around a corner, first sniffing the paper then running over to her. “Hey, Midnight,” Ashlynn said, crouching down to pet the puppy. Standing up, she continued to look for some food when the doorbell rang. Having no idea of who it could be, she walked to the door and opened it.
On the other side of the door stood Sierra, Ashlynn’s best friend. “You skipped today?” were the first words out of her mouth. “Yeah, I figured you would oversleep since we were up late, so I stayed home.” Sierra always knew what would happen with Ashlynn, just like Ashlynn always knew what would happen with Sierra. Almost like they were sisters, though they didn’t even look similar. “Yeah, and my mom didn’t even wake me up this time.,” she replied, walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. “I know you’re glad about that.” Sierra followed her, shutting the door and flopping down on the couch beside Ashlynn. “I wonder why we haven’t seen them since the other night.” We was already understood, as the subject was all that had been on their minds. “I don’t know, but I wanna find out more about them, maybe spy.” “That’s one reason I’m happy my mother didn’t wake me up. I want to spy on them.” They always wanted to do the same thing, which made them seem even more like sisters.
