Sydney opened the front door, fresh air hitting her like a slap across the face. To her this was a good thing. Her mother had been cleaning up and the whole house smelt of furniture polish and air freshener. She sighed and shut the door. Stepping off the porch, she carried on and walked down to the bottom of the driveway. She sat on the wall with a sigh and looked around. Sydney was bored, and she had nothing better to do. If she sat around the house her mom would most likely lassoo her into helping vaccuum. That will never happen. She thought to herself, kicking her converse lightly against the wall. Life was boring to her. All her old band mates - except her brother - were back in their old town. She looked at her feet boredly, studying how worn her battered Hi-Tops were.

Audrey had been extremely bored sitting in her house. It had been eerily quiet too, since her aunt and uncle were out. Too freaking quiet. But what could she do? It seemed as though everyone had plans except her. Maybe I should just walk around. Maybe I'll get hit by a car. Yeah, that sounded like a good idea to her.
Sitting up on her bed, she slipped on her Vans and stood up. Audrey grabbed a hoodie and threw it on, walking out the front door. The cool air rushed towards her, giving her a chill. Damn fall weather. She disliked it very much. Going down the front steps, her eyes were aimed at the ground as she made her way tot he sidewalk. This ought to be interesting.
After a bit of walking, Audrey found herself on Emerald Cove. She wasn't on that street very often. Walking down it a little, she saw someone outside. Do I say something? Nah. She would wait until the girl said something first. Maybe the girl wasn't looking to talk to anyone.

Sydney heard somebody walking past and looked up. She saw a girl who seemed familiar from somewhere, she recognised the pink hair. I guess I've seen her at school... She thought. Although, the girl might be going somewhere. Shove it. Might aswell say something.
"Hey." Sydney said eventually. "You bored aswell?" She asked, looking at the girl. Kicking her feet a bit more, she tucked her own orange hair behind her ear. She waited for an answer and zipped her hoodie up slightly. Sydney chewed her lip, something she usually did when she was waiting for something.

Audrey looked up when sh heard the girl say something. I figured she would. She looked over at the girl. "Uh, yeah. My house is really boring and it's too quiet." If we're gonna talk, I should go over there. Audrey directed herself towards the girl, walking at a steady pace. Not too slow and not too fast. She didn't want it to seem like she was too eager or like she wasn't interested in talking.
Once she reached the girl, she introduced herself. "I'm Audrey." Her lips curved into a small smile. She wanted to be polite. This girl looked like someone how she could be friends with, and making a bad impression would any hurt herself.

Sydney nodded her head sligtly. She listened as Audrey introduced herself. "I'm Sydney." She said. "Nice to meet you, Audrey." She smiled politely. It was nice to have somebody to talk to out of school. Usually she just sat around trying to think of something to do. Which usually wasn't very much.
Sydney looked at Audrey. She seemed like the type of person that she could get along with. Or at least was in her cliuqe. Although looks could be decieving. That was probably the only reason Sydney never judged a person on how they looked.

"Nice to meet you too, Sydney," Audrey replied. Sydney. You don't hear that name very often. Actually, she had never heard of someone named Sydney around Livingston Heights. The names they all had were pretty basic. Some names were very popular, and there could be at least five in each grade.
"What grade are you in?" Audrey asked, her curiosity getting the best of her. It really didn't matter, but she wanted to know. She would probably wind up forgetting it sooner or later, so asking was pointless. Don't be so pessimistic.

"Junior." Sydney replied. She usually asked questions people asked her. Why she did it she wasn't sure. She crossed one of her legs over the other. She was having a pretty lazy day today. When she woke up she had just wanted to go straight back to sleep. Even though it was a Saturday, she didn't.
Sydney looked at the sidewalk for a moment. She looked up again. "You?" She asked simply. She drummed her fingers on the wall out of randomness. She loved being random and different. Sydney didn't care what other people thought. As long as she was different, she was happy.

When Sydney answered Audrey, she became kind of confused. Hmm. Why haven't I met her? She knew pretty much all of the kids from her clique in her grade. Well, I know her now.
"I am a junior as well," she replied. And it sucks. Audrey always wished she was an upperclassmen. They would be finished with school sooner. "I wonder why I've never met you before. I know most of the kids in our grade." It didn't take very long to know everyone when rumors got around so quickly.

"Eh, I've never really been that popular here. Nobody really knows me, so they can't talk about me." Sydney shrugged. She had quite a few friends before she started Livingston a few years ago. But then she was mostly known for being in a band.
"When I started here nobody ever bothered to talk to me. The first people I met were the freaking Royalty, who just pushed me around like they do with all new kids.." Sydney said with an aggrivated tone. She hadn't known about the Royalty at the time. Of course, she didn't know it was best to stay out of their way.

"People talk about everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if there were rumors going around about you right now. People make up the most idiotic things." Audrey had heard plenty of lies about herself. They were funny, really. "One time, someone made up a rumor that I was pregnant or something like that because I wore a few hoodies that were a little too big for me. It was hilarious." She could always laugh about those things.
"The Royalty are the worst. But if you don't let them get to you, they'll leave you alone. That what happened to me." They bitched to her about her hair, but when she ignored them, they just let her be. And it didn't take that long to happen. They give up pretty quickly.

Sydney laughed. "They'll make a rumor out of anything these days." She said. She hated the Royalty, and thankfully she had only made a mistake on her first day at Livingston High. She vowed never to do something like that again. Luckily, she still hadn't and hoped she never would.
"Although, one of them once started talking to me whilst I was skipping class under the bleachers. It was weird." Sydney said with a confused tone. That day had always confused her, as most of the Royalty she knew only talked to other members of the Royalty. With the few exceptions about talking to the just-as-bad preps. Sydney looked around, it was oddly quiet for a Saturday.

"I know. They're just looking for attention." Audrey hadn't talked to one in a while, and she was glad. It would probably result in yelling and fighting if she talked to one. They usually ended that way.
"That sounds weird. They never want to talk to me. Not even the preps. And one of them actually skipped? That's a shocker. They usually hang in one of the back hallways and make out with someone." She had witnessed it firsthand. Of course she wanted to skip, but it had been too cold outside. The back hallway was the perfect spot for skipping, so she went there. After a few minutes, a preppy couple showed up and started making out. Audrey was not pleased, and wound up finding somewhere else to skip.

"Well, it was pretty obvious he hadn't done it before. He stood up and banged his head on the bleachers. He looked like such a retard." Sydney laughed. She hadn't seen somebody do something that stupid since her brother tried to put hair gel on the neighbours cat.
"I didn't say anything, but I couldn't go back inside because a gym class had gone onto the track." Sydney said. She had once tried to dodge through a gym class on the track. She was doing quite well before they all began to whisper and point. Of course then her cover had been blown. Stupid Freshman.

"Hah, what an idiot. I've never seen anyone do that." Audrey laughed a little. She had honestly never seen anyone do that. What an idiot. Not even her brother had done that the first time he skipped. And her brother could be quite the klutz.
"Oh, that sucks. I hate when classes go out to the track. You're screwed." Audrey had almost gotten caught once. The kids pointed her out, but she hid well enough from the teacher. The teacher was a big ape. An idiot. And it had been her gym class too.

"Oh, I know. Once I thought I might have a bit of luck and be able to dodge past the teacher, but it was a Freshman class so they all started pointing at me like they'd never seen somebody skip before." Sydney said. She smiled slightly at her own craziness, sometimes she forgot to think things over before she acted.
"Although, I gotta admit, it was pretty retarded of me." She chuckled. She was enjoying having somebody to talk to. It made a change from sitting around the house with her brother most of the time. Sydney loved her brother, but she needed a break at some point.
