Sitting quietly on the bench with her guitar on her lap and tuner by her side was miss Adrienne Vice, out for a bit of fresh air and music- freedom from her bedroom. Not that she was staying with anyone to not have freedom.. but still, there was just something about that place and being alone that had bothered her.
Such a quiet day, that Sunday morning. Really it was almost surprising to see Adrienne up so early and the park so empty. Then again, it was time for all mothers to make sure their darling children didn't go to hell. Too bad hers was never around for that and her grandparent's just didn't care.
Adrienne was dressed in her usual attire, black combat boots, destroyed pants and a modified 'Against Me!' shirt. It was black, laced with red fabric that hung loosely from the sides of her shoulders yet clung so tightly to her waist. The girl really did need to gain some weight... after leaving San Jose she just kind of stopped eating. Though, Rafe wasn't around to notice so of course she wouldn't either.
"It's too... quiet," her words were soft, spoken to no one in particular... or maybe her guitar if that counted.
She finally placed her left hand along the neck of the instrument, holding it in a position to play. Softly she strummed the cords to the song stuck in her head, a song she recently learned to play of course- obvious by the way she was mouthing the numbers of the strings she struck. 'Two.. five...four..' Then again, she couldn't keep up with playing without singing.
"In the closest alley, in the first doorway, he pushed up against her and closed his eyes. He said, 'this is probably he worst decision that I've ever made.'"
A current obsession, obviously.
"She laughed and smiled. She said, "I'm sure you do this all the time...right, right, right, right, right?" [/size]

Morning time. That was Alex's favorite time to go anywhere. Either that or midnight. It was strange to say he wasn't much of a people person, but that didn't mean he didn't socialize. He just didn't go looking for people to talk to. If they were there, that's a different story.
His navy blue converse scuffed the ground as he walked. He wore a pair of dark blue denim skin tight jeans. With that a gray t-shirt covered by his jacket. In hand, was his guitar case. Mornings were the best time to create music, all the animals rooting him on.
As he walked closer to the park he could hear the light sound of music and his curiosity started to take control. Slowly, he walked into the park, spotting the source of the noise.
He slowly made his way up to the bench, looking down at the ground with every step. Listening to the girl sing. Though he was close to the bench, he didn't acknowledge that he saw her. Just heard.
[[Sorry it took me so long.]]

"Now you want to take it back, you think you might have fucked up. Waking dreams of concrete, deafening panic, cracked skull, There is yelling all around, get up, get up please start breathing."
Of course it didn't sound exactly like Against Me!, Adrienne never did like screaming words. So instead it was a melodic tune, a very fast-paced melodic tune.
"And the moment will come when you finally realize the results of decisions and choices in your life," her singing stopped abruptly then, the guitar's sound fading as a fit of coughing erupted from the girl's throat.
Gently as she could, Adrienne placed the guitar on the grass, her knees landing beside it. The coughing stopped then, a slender hand placed upon the girl's chest. Breathing heavily she just kneeled there for a time.
{Blech. >.<}

Alex continued to listen to the girl sing the song. In his head, he was mapping out the name of the song. But he could not figure it out. Alex was known for singing his own music. It was just easier for him.He walked closer to the bench when he heard her singing stop.
Her coughing scared him a little. He had never heard someone cough so hard. Alex came up to her and set his case down on the cement. After he coughing stopped he looked down at her."Are you alright?"he asked his voice showing concern, looking down at her with his hands placed in his pockets as he looked down at her.
The thing about Alex was he cared when he didn't need to. He said sorry when he shouldn't have and he's all in all a compassionate guy. Depending on what day you caught him on. To her luck, he was in a good mood and willing to help.

Rarely will one hear Adriee play her own music. An open extrovert? Oh yes. But that is the one thing that she is shy about; letting others hear her own stuff. She finds it to be too emotional, too dumb. Just embarrassing. So if one would ever ask her; 'Why the hell can't you play your own shit?', she would happily reply 'Because I'm not talented'.
However it was more embarrassing still when some random boy found you helpless on the ground. Quickly she pushed herself into a standing position, still breathing heavily. Offering him a half-hearted smile Adrienne showed him a thumbs up. Never did she want to look like she couldn't take care of herself.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine. Thanks." Well now, she felt a little awkward.
Chocolate eyes took the time to examine the boy's appearance now, scanning up and stopping to meet with his own blue gaze. A friend in San Jose told her that it was bold of her to do so, that she was just being overly flirtatious when meeting the gaze of the opposite sex. But that made no sense to her.
"I didn't think anyone else would be out here this early. Name's Adrienne."

Alex looked at her as she stood up. Taking a quick moment to study her before he too stared back into brown eyes."Okay, that's good."he said with a small nod. Giving her a friendly smile to show he was only being kind.
Alex didn't care what clique you were in, he wasn't goign to follow social circles and defianatly didn't care what others thought about him. Well, in a way he did but for the most part he didn't.
He chuckled softly at her statement a small nod coming from his head."Yeah, I guess you could call me an early bird."he said with a soft chuckle."It's a pleasure to meet you Adrienne. Name's Alex."he said with another small nod. Placing his hand out in front of him for her to shake."What were you playing?"he asked, his curiosity taking over, yet again.

A lopsided grin found the girl's lips in response to Alex's smile. Composing herself she pulled strands of straight black hair from her eyes then crossed her arms. Snake bites, huh? It took self-control to not walk up to the stranger and play with them.
On the matter of cliques; they didn't matter. At least not to Adrienne. Her groups could be defined as assholes and cool kids; not being biased upon looks any stranger got the benefit of the doubt.
"Nice to meet you too," she took his hand and shook it softly, "You look like I need a drink by Against Me!. Not as good as I'd like it to be, buuut I don't like screaming. You play too?"
{Sorry it took so long. My muse is shot.}

Alex chuckled softly, replacing his hand to his side before playing with his snake bite subconsciously. He watched her as she talked, attempting to give her his full attention. Normally he had a habit of being still or standing still."Oh, don't think I have heard it before. But yeah, I play."he said looking down at his guitar that he had set on the ground."I create my own music."he said simply. A small shrug coming from his shoulders."It's just easier for me, I guess."he added, giving her a small smile. [[It's alright, sorry mines a little short.]]

"Your own music, huh? That's pretty cool, I'm not talented enough to make my own stuff. It's kind of like cooking, I try to use the oven but only set things on fire."
It didn't matter if she had his full attention or not, Adrienne would still talk anyway. Growing used to being alone Adrienne often made conversation with inanimate objects. After a while whether or not anyone was listening made no difference to her.
Crossing her arms once more the grin on her face became rather coy. This boy followed none of TV's laws of fashion. How attractive. He didn't look that much older than her however, so why was it she had never seen him before?
"Are you new here? I don't think I've ever seen you at school before."
She had gotten better about skipping school. Much better actually. Fixing oneself was a complicated task however, and trying to go cold turkey on the cancer sticks whilst attending school was proving to be more stressful than she thought.

"Yeah."Alex nodded, laughing slightly at the analogy she used. Alex glanced down at the ground for a moment before looking back up at her. He switched his position, so his legs wouldn't get tired fast. His hand moved up to move his hair to the side again as he moved it back to his side. A small smile appeared on his face."Uhm, yeah I'm new. Just enrolled a day ago."he said with a small nod, answering his question."I've been getting that question a lot lately."he added with a small laugh, glancing down at the ground before looking back up at her. One of his habits.
