Jay simply nodded and followed Jas when he said he'd introduce him to everyone. He heard one of the guys say a race was about to start, and so he followed again to see how everything worked. He nodded as Jas explained the track and smiled, that seemed so simple. He was already wanting to race and they'd been here only a few minutes. But that's just how Jay was, impulsive over things like that, especially when bordering on being drunk, and that last beer mixed with what he'd had before where starting to affect his brain already. Probably not a good thing.
He turned away from Jas as he was given that closed-mouth grin, showing dimples. Yeah stupid Jay's mind. Think of the race, okay? Good mind. He turned his full attention back to the cars just as they sped off. His eyes followed the course of the track, waiting to see which would win.

Watching the two cars speed out of sight from him, all they had to do now is wait and listen to the faint hum of the engines roar. During this time, Jas turns to Jay and asks, "Hey, you wanna race me?" He's up for some fun, and speed no less. Besides, Jasper had taken a quick look at Jayson's car and figures he could compete with that.
He's not a die-hard racer with the decked-out engines like some of the guys here, but it's still fun nonetheless. Plus, the rush and thrill is like no other; it's even better than drugs. Jas turns his attention back towards Jay to hear his answer.

Jay grinned as he heard Jas ask if he wanted to race. 'Hell yeah!' his mind was already replying, but he wasn't so quick to answer. A quick look back to Jas's car, nothing too fancy like the other guys here, a race would be fun, and was just what he was wanting to do at the moment. He turned back to Jas and nodded. "Sure, why not" was his reply. He had gotten that little grin he got again, the one that always meant trouble, usually for himself of course. What was he thinking, racing already? Well, simple, he wasn't thinking except for that it'd be fun. Really all that mattered at the moment.

Jas replied back in response, "Awesome. We'll be up next." Actually, it's more like right now since the blue car with the flames came roaring in with the other green mustang one close behind it. He gives Jay a sly grin and says, "Prepare to lose Jay." Then, with that, he heads to his car to ride up to the finish line, a nervous feeling rising up in his stomach as it usually does before a race.

"You'll be the one losing" Jay called back before going back to his car and getting in again. He drove up to the finish line next to Jas and waited for the signal to go. That nervous excitement feeling was taking over, the adrenaline rush mixed with it and alcohol, let's just say Jay was pretty sure this'd be fun. Even if he did end up losing, cause hey he had an excuse, it was, after all, his first race.

Jas smirks as he drives up to the start line, waiting for the signal. As the woman carrying the flag walks up in between their cars, Jasper shakes out his hands before gripping them on the steering wheel. He revs his engine to show Jay he's ready and determined to win. Then, finally, she gives the signal and he drives off down the straight road as fast as he can. The windows are rolled down so Jasper can feel the wind blowing through his body.

Jay drove up right beside him, hands tight on the steering wheel as he revved up his engine in return, showing he was ready too and was going to win (at least he hoped). The signal was given and he sped off down the road at full speed, paying attention to only the road and to trying to beat Jas. Speeding up even more, closer to the finish line and he couldn't tell who was going to win yet, they were pretty close.

Enjoying the feeling of speeding off, trying to control the steering wheel when making turns , Jas almost forgets he's racing as his mind is somewhere else. Jasper sees Jay pull ahead of him, so he steps on his gas pedal even harder for it to go faster. He grins as he soon sees the finish line in view, yet unknowing who will pass it first; after all, right now they are neck in neck.

[[so who's gonna end up winning anyways?]]
Jay saw himself getting ahead of Jas but then Jas was speeding up and right there with him again. He pushed even harder on the gas, still determined to get ahead. He was still neck and neck with Jas when he saw the finish line. More initiative to go faster and try to win, but he still wasn't sure, the entire race was close.

[[ummm, you can win, but only by a hair ]] After crossing the finish line, he sees Jas just a little ahead of him. He only frowns just slightly that he hadn't won, but it's soon replaced by a smile. But Jas isn't all that competitive, he just likes street-racing for the rush and thrill of it. Slowing down his car and eventually braking, Jasper stops the car and gets out. He waits for Jay to come out to go and congratulate him, all the while they guys did their usual hoots and hollers for each of the boys, mainly because they each had made it alive.

[[m'kay. yay]]
He crossed the finish line and then noticed Jas had finished a little behind him. Which meant he'd won. Yay! He actually didn't think he would but when he did that just cheered him up. Well the racing in general put him in a better mood than he had been.
He got out of his car and was greeted by congradulations all around. He thought he even heard someone ask if it really had been his first race and yes, it had. He smiled as Jas walked over. "Good race" he said. He wasn't going to be the type to brag about winning, it'd been close anyways and he was probably just lucky.

Jas grins at Jay, shaking his hand. He's happy that Jay had won. "Yeah, you too. Awesome job, especially for your first race." Walking away from the track with Jay, he adds a little less sprightly, but still in that joking manner, "Although next time I'll be sure to overshoot you." That race had put him in much better spirits, by far. Guess all I needed was a little excitement.

Jay shook his hand and grinned. "Thanks. I don't think that'd work next time though, I think I'd be watching for it now that you told me" He grinned still though. He knew Jas was only joking, and the race had been just for fun anyways. He really was in a better mood, guess he really just needed some fun. A change was always good for changing his mood anyways, and a street race was definately a change from the bar. But a good one.

Jas laughs, still grinning. "Actually I think I'll be right there on the sidelines with you. I enjoy street-racing, but one race for awhile is enough for me." As much as he loves going fast, there's always that fear in the back of his mind that he could die be arrested or, worse, kill someone else. Therefore, he doesn't street-race often, but rather watches. Though it is a lot of fun, when doing it, Jasper thinks to himself as he watches two other guys drive their cars up to the start line. He turns to Jay and casually, but curiously asks, "What now?"

One race was enough for Jas? That's what he'd said and Jay laughed. "I dunno, now that you got me started I already wanna race again. Don't think I could compete with any of these other guys though, all their cars were basically built for racing." He turned to Jas as two more cars pull up and prepare to race and heard him ask 'What now?'. "Uhm.... I guess now we just enjoy the races? Not much else to do I don't think." He was fine just watching too but he really did want to race again. He was sure he'd lose if he did race someone else though, he could tell his car was no match for some of these.
