it seems that my life has been torn apart at the seams and thrusted forth ways into the garbage can of eternal damn nation
Sighing, she shifted her books around in her arms, red fingernails clinging to the edges of them as grey-blue eyes scanned the courtyard. It was just the same as any other school she'd been shipped off to, bright, with lots of green grass and students lounging about the place. Avoiding the gazes of other students, she brought herself to be at a bench nearby, practically dropping her books all over the ground in the process of trying to set them down gently. She growled lightly at herself, then swept a blond strand of hair from her face.
To be honest, Rowen stuck out in that sore-thumb kind of way, but it wasn't bad, persay. Her clothes were nice, but had a flair to them that just said, 'i'm different.'. Her ripped jeans exposed some of her flesh, and the belt she wore looked more like a seat belt buckle than anything. Not to forget her red and black striped long sleeved shirt. But, other than that, she seemed to have been in a fairly normal-ish mood today. Mostly for the fact that she didn't want to stand out anymore today than she had to, being the new kid in school. She'd learned, after ten different schools, that it was a good idea to not draw too much odd attention to yourself on your first day; that way, you weren't written off as the 'weird kid'.
Stretching her arms for a second, she quickly stooped down and scooped up her books again, before walking off to another spot on a spare spot of green grass. Now, Rowen wasn't much when it came to grace, and this time she ended up spilling her books and papers across the grass. Darn. That was stupid. She hastily stooped down, trying not to kneel her knees into the grass for fear of getting grass stains. Normally, Rowen had an air of confidence about her, but she was almost always a nervous wreck when she was new to a school. She quickly began picking up scattered bits of paper, pencils, and books, muttering under her breath about being clumsy. Today seemed to want to be a horrible kind of day, the kind where you just want to lock yourself away from embarrassment. Yes, that was what seemed today was going to be.

Sydney walked through the courtyard. She was bored, yet angry at the same time. The Royalty had chewed her up because she pushed past one of them. It was their fault for standing in my way. She thought to herself, pulling the sleeves of her black and white jumper over her hands. She had avoided the Royalty the whole two years she had been at Livingston, but of course it wouldn't last. At her old school she had plenty of friends. Most people knew who she was due to her band. The only people that hated her were the preps, and the only people that didn't hate them were the preps themselves.
In a nutshell Sydney hated Livingston. When she had first started people avoided her and she mad no friends at all. The first people she met were the Royalty, and she definitely hadn't got off to a good start with them. Now, even though she had been at the school for two years, she still only had a couple of okay friends at least. The time inbetween she suffered alone or with her brother. Now her brother had graduated Livingston and now she had to do something to stop her being a loner until she graduated.
Sydney looked around, coming back into reality. She noticed a girl she hadn't seen before drop her papers and books. She sighed, remembering when she had done that on her first day. Bending down and picking up some of the papers that had blown near to her feet, Sydney looked at the girl. "Need some help?" She asked. Just because nobody had helped her on her first day didn't mean she would refuse to help anybody else.

Gathering the last bits of paper that she had dropped, Rowen sighed with relief, seeing as no one seemed to have paid any attention to her brief moment of stupidity. She readjusted them slightly in her arms, before hearing someone say, 'Need some help?'. Jumping and falling back down on her butt from the crouching position she was sitting in. Grumbling again, she pouted slightly at the fact that not only did her rear end hurt now, but the grass may have ruined her favorite pants.
Tilting her head around, she caught glimpse of a girl with orange hair that had been just a few feet away, obviously the one that offered help. Brushing a piece of blonde hair away from her face again, she wrinkled her nose in anger now that she saw her books scattered again.Rowen turned to face the girl and gave a small smile."Uhm, sure... Names Rowen."she said slowly, crouching down, she scooped up her books hastily, flushing bright red now that she could feel the occasional students' eyes watching her. She obviously looked like a fool.

Sydney watched her fall over and drop all her books again. She heard the girl's name, and nodded slightly. "I'm Sydney." She said politely, helping Rowen pick up her books again. She scratched the bottom of her forehead, she still hadn't gotten used to her new fringe. She looked at Rowen, wondering weather the Royalty had gotten a chance to show her who is boss yet.
Sydney looked around, trying to see if anything had blown away again. "I'm guessing its you're first day, huh?" She hoped she didn't sound mean. She knew how it felt, and she knew how crap it was the first few days of being at Livingston High. This had all happened to her, only it was in the hallway. Tons of people saw, yet not one person had helped her pick up her things or at least asked if she needed any help. Most of the people are pretty self absorbed round here. She thought.

Alyson finally got to leave her class, having been counting down for the last 10 minutes of the session. Calmly and collectedly Alyson packed away her textbook and notebook, after slinging her bag over her shoulder she smoothed down her outfit. Leaving the classroom, with a confident walk, Alyson pulled her hat on to her head and headed to her locker.
Once she reached it she dumped her latest classes textbook in it and pulled out her physics textbook. As much as she hated it Alyson had work she needed to do that night, ditching the book in her bag she also dumped her calculator in there. After she finished there Alyson headed out to the courtyards before heading home. Hopefully she would meet a few new friends in the courtyards and could put off doing her homework.
There was a frenzy of activity in the courtyards and many people where trying to talk to Alyson as she walked past. However none of them seemed like possible friends so she just smiled and carried on walking. Just as she was about to give up Alyson noticed two girls just standing around and chatting. They look as though they could become possible friends, and so headed over in their direction. "Hello, mind if I join you?" Alyson asked.

Rowen gave a somewhat harsh laugh to the people her were passing by staring at them, rolling her eyes she shifted the books that she had just finished picking up, drumming fingers against the backs of them."Uhm, thanks... and yeah, it's my first day."she said slowly, shifting her weight onto her other foot and bringing a fingernail up to suck on without even realizing it. It seemed she wasn't too good with the whole meeting new people thing, because she honestly didn't know what to say at all. She wasn't trying to seem rude, but most of the things she said, came out with an attitude. Just her way of making sure no one hurt her in any way.
Upon hearing someone come up to them Rowen gave a half-heartedly smile. She didn't know what it was about this person but Rowen got a hint of something off this fiery red-head."Hm, nope don't mind."she said, bluntly."Names Rowen."she added, introducing herself to the new girl.
[sorry it's so bleh]

"Nice to meet you Rowen, names Ally" She replied, "You new around here?" Alyson waved her hand in the direction of school. Although she didn't profess to know all of the rebels, punks, emos and indies at the school Alyson generally noticed when there was someone new. Hopefully this could be one new friend that disliked the populars and Royalty as much as she did.
Turning to the other girl Alyson vaugely recognised her, she thought the girl's name was something like Sydney or something along those sorts of lines. "I don't think we have been properly introduced, I'm Alyson Kerrigan. It's nice to meet you." Knowing that she had probably heard her name when Alyson introduced herself to Rowen, she just felt like saying it again but completely this time. "Feel free to shorten it if you want." Alyson said with a smile.
((no problem. My muse has gone for a walk I think, can't write anything longer))

"I'm Sydney. Sydney Williams." Sydney smiled. She didn't normally introduce people with her full name, but she did so anyway. She shoved her hands in her back pocket, unsure what to say next. Even though she had an outgoing personality, with new people she found it hard to pipe up a conversation. Sydney looked around and shot a dirty look to all the people that were laughing at Rowen. They wouldn't be laughing if they fell over. She thought.
Sydney looked from Alyson to Rowen. "Have you had any encounters with those stuck up Royalty whores yet?" She asked. If she hadn't, it was best that Rowen knew to stay away. Plus, she enjoyed talking about them. It sounded surreal but she used it as a way to vent and stop herself from slapping them whenever she saw them.
[Mine isn't that great either... I've had tests in alot of my lessons at school and it's really put a blanket over my fire. Plus I have so much homework that needs to be finished before christmas... "/]

Rowen took short glances at the two girls that had been standing in front of her. Shifting her wait, again, from one foot to the other as she heard introductions. A light nod came from her head as Ally asked if she was new. She smiled lightly at Alyson, letting her eyes move about her body before staring down at the ground.Rowen could admit that she was developing feelings for Ally already.'Why do you keep doing this to yourself?'She asked herself as she shook her head lightly.A light chuckle escaped her lips upon hearing Sydney's question.
"Hm, no. I haven't. Well, at least I don't think I have."she replied with a small smile, her eyes looking at Sydney for a moment before glancing at Alyson. Her fingers lightly drummed on the back of her book."Why? Are they dangerous or something??"she asked, obviously not used to things such as clique's though she knew where she belonged on the food chain, at the bottom. She didn't care though, it was stupid putting labels on people. Especially when people let it get to their head that since you had money, you had the power of ruling who ever you wanted. Get real.
[Good, it's not just me. This is about the best your going to get from me at the moment.. lmao.. My muse and I are playing hide and seek and it's winning. :/]

"Well, I wouldn't call them dangerous, exactly. Although, those false nails could probably do some pretty bad damage." Sydney chuckled. She wasn't sure how to explain the Royalty. All she could say was that they weren't the best people to walk straight into, or even ask about the History homework. How to explain the Royalty... She tapped a foot against the grass in thought.
Sydney bit her lip. "Well, for a start, they can either be your best friends or your worst enemies." She said. "If you're rich, bitchy, and dress like a slut, they will accept you. The only other cliques they talk to are some of the Populars. And it takes alot for them to even speak to you then." She said. Even though she hated them she still knew about them. Everybody in the school did.
Chewing on the side of her thumb, and turned to Ally. "Got anything to add to that?" She asked, with a slight chuckle. Not everybody felt the same about them, considering it was such a huge school. She usually told alot of the new kids about them, to stop them making the same mistake she had two years ago. [It's not great... But it's better than me not posting at all...]

Glaring at all the idiots Alyson nodded her head at Sydney and said a quick nice to meet you. Reaching down into her bag to check she had her lighter and cigarettes in there, Alyson just listened to what Rowen and Sydney were saying. Catching a mention of the Royalty clique she waited for a gap in the other two girls' talk so that she could say something. She had a feeling that Rowen hadn't had it too easy at Livingston so far but it would be worse if she didn't know what to expect from the Royalties.
"It's true, like Sydney says the Royalty aren't really dangerous as such. They just try their best to make everyone feel as though they are below them." Alyson says with a hint of bitterness and venom in her voice. "Royalty are called such because they believe they rule the school and most people pander to this belief. If you don't they can cause problems for you whilst in school and sometimes outside of it as well." Laughing bitterly Alyson pulled out and lit up a cigarette, "Neither of you mind, do you?" she asked geturing towards her cigarette, "It's just they get me so wound up and this is the quickest way to calm down." ((Took me a day but I managed to come up with a half decent reply))

Rowen's eyes switched from Sydney to Alyson, a small nod coming from her head as she shifted the books in her hands."Hm. That'll change. I'm not one to go by clique's or social status. If they think their all that. Wait till I get a hold of them. That shit annoys me. Like you do not believe."Rowen said with a harsh laugh glancing down at the ground as she realized what she said. She always was one to ramble, never able to keep her mouth shut. But these people seemed friendly. At least she hoped.
She brought a finger nail to her mouth and sucked on it slightly before continuing."I have yet to find one 'popular' that I haven't got annoyed with. I'm sure they are just the same."she said slowly, sounding a bit harsh. She shifted her weight from one foot to another as she watched Alyson reach in her bag for a cigerate. Rowen never liked the things. Sticks of cancer is what she called them. But since they were not being offered to her she didn't really care."No I don't mind. Always hated the things but go ahead."she said with a small chuckle, glancing down at the ground, kicking the pavement lightly. So what, one flaw, hmm. She thought to herself a small chuckle coming from her lips as she played with the corner of her text book. Looking over at Sydney for a moment and then Alyson.
[Yay. Now if mine doesn't make sense.. I don't know what to tell you.Having troubles writing but yeah... lmao..]
