Sydney walked through the halls. She was heading towards her locker as she needed her books for her next lesson. She probably would have skipped that one too, but she didn't want another one of the Royalty to try and start a conversation with her again. She sighed, happy to reach her locker. Sydney opened the lock and searched for her book. "Where is it? For the love of... Where could that thing be?" She mumbled, her head in her locker. Why does this always happen to me... She thought to herself angrily.

Keela walked slowly towards her locker. She had math next, one of her least favouite subject. She did got good grades in math, and that was why she hated it so much, it was to easy. Reaching her locker, she grab her lock and put the code in, then pulled open the locker door. Reaching, she grabbed her math book.
She heard a voice, and turned her head to see who it was. "Where's what?" she asked. She took a step back and closed her locker door, puttinh the lock back on.

Sydney heard a voice and jumped. She looked to her side and saw a girl shutting her own locker. "Oh, I'm just looking for my geography book. I didn't know anybody was listening." She said. Sydney looked at the girl, she certainly didn't look like one of the Royalty, probably more of a Neutral. "I'm Sydney." She said, smiling politely.

"Geography book? Guessing your taking geography next. And yeah, I heard." A second later Keela heard the girl said her name. "Hi, Sydney. I'm Keela." She shifted her backpack from her left shoulder to her right, and held her math book in left hand. She put her bag on the floor beside her legs, and leaned back so her back was against her locker. Keela wondered how long she could stand here, just talking. She really didn't want to go to class. She turned her head to look at Sydney. "Do you like geography?" she asked.

"Nice to meet you, Keela." Sydney smiled. She thought about Keela's question for a moment. "Geography... Well, in a word no. But I just skipped my last class outside, and its not exactly warm underneath those bleachers." She said. She wondered if she could get away with just skipping class indoors. She thought about it, and she probably could unless Keela wanted to get to her class.

Keela smiled. "Yeah, I don't like geography either....maybe's that's why I'm passing with a 50." Keela rolled her eyes. She heard from all her foster parents that she sure try harder in school, but she never did. She was passing her classes, wasn't that what counted?
Keela looked around the almost empty halls, but it didn't bother her. If she missed her math class, she could caught up later. It really didn't matter.

"The problem for me is that I can do the work, but it's just boring." Sydney sighed. People constantly moaned that she should do better in school. Well, they should do better at making the lessons somewhat fun.
"I think I'll skip geography. But I'll stay here, I can't be bothered to sit outside in the cold again. I hate it." Sydney said. She leaned against her locker boardly.

Keela nodded. "Same." She could do the work, she was smart, when she wanted to be. She knew a lot, but she just didn't see the point in getting good grades if she already knew the stuff. She didn't need to prove to anyone that she was, in fact, very smart.
Keela heard Sydney said say something about skipping geography. Keela thought about skipping math. Missing one day of math class wasn't going to hurt. She could easily caught up the next day. "You know," Keela spoke, "I think I'm going to join you."

"Cool." Sydney smiled. Normally she either skipped alone or with her brother. "What do you wanna do then? I mean, stay here or see if there's a gym class outside?" She asked. She enjoyed doing different things when she skipped, as staying under the bleachers constantly got old. And the teachers always look there first, which doesn't help at all.

Keela looked down at her math book. "Don't care. Just let me put this book back in my locker." She put the code for her lock in, and pulled open her locker door. Closing the locker, then putting the lock back on, she turned to Sydney. "I guess we could see if there's a gym class outside. But I doubt it if you said it was cold outside." She put her hands in her sweater pocket.

"Well..." Sydney said. Keela had a point. She opened her locker and put her book away whilst taking out her stripy hoodie. "I'll survive. Better than sitting inside all day. I don't really mind." She said, putting a Converse shoe against somebody's locker and leaning against it.

Keela nodded. "Great." She bit her lip, before going on. "Well, let's go." She really did want to skip, but this was her first time. She looked around, glad that their lockers weren't near the principal's office, and all the classroom doors were closed. Looking back at Sydney, she asked, "So, what's the best were to go. Like, what door do we go through so we don't get catch?"

Sydney picked up her bag and slung it around her neck. She shoved her hands in her pockets walking towards the back door. "The back door. They always suspect you round the front." She said. She pulled her hood over her head, looked around the hallway and pushed open the door slowly. Sydney warily stepped out and looked across to the track. Phew, no gym class. She thought, relieved. "Okay, there's nobody out here." She said, turning to Keela.

Keela nodded, picking up her backpack. "Back door it is then," she said, following Sydney to the back door. She watched as Sydney opened the door and looked around. When she heard it was clear, Keela nodded, and pulled her hood over her head. She stepped outside and looked around. There was a bit of snow on the ground, but it was a pretty nice day for it being winter.

Sydney began walking down the few steps infront of the back door. She reached the bottom and shoved her hands in her pockets, looking at the few patches of snow on the ground. She let out a sigh, watching her breath in the air. Considering it was winter, it wasn't actually that cold. She began to slowly walk towards the bleachers, not wanting to leave Keela behind. "So, what bands do you like?" Sydney asked, trying to start a conversation of some kind.
