Josh walked around Hot Topic, trying to think what to get his sister for Christmas. It may have seemed early to some, but he was terrible at choosing presents. Especially for people of the other gender. If he didn't think about it now, he would probably leave it until Christmas Eve to buy something. It wasn't that he was lazy, but Josh never knew what people already owned or wanted.
A small sigh passed his lips, and Josh turned around. The Skelanimals display was right infront of him, and he knew how much Sydney loved them. He looked at the different plushies, beanies, clothes and hair things. He knew that she loved Kit, which he thought was the cat one.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and let out a second sigh. Josh loved his sister, but shopping for her certainly was hard. He bit his lip, the cold of his lip ring on his top lip. Running his fingers though his hair he looked around Hot Topic again. At least he knew some of the things she liked, which helped him slightly. Yet you still can't think of what to get her for christmas. He thought to himself, slightly annoyed.

Audrey had to work today. Wasn't that a shame? Sure, the store was wonderful, but on a day like today she just didn't want to work. Most posers come in, and I hate talking to them. Most of the time she would talk to them quietly, telling them to leave or she would accuse them of shoplifting. No one had found out about this, and it was a good thing too.
Talking to one of her co-workers, Audrey was someone, a poser, in need of assistance. So she went over, grinning devilishly. "And what do you need help with?" They wanted to know where the very first MCR CD was. The little prep probably didn't even know what the first CD was called. "You mean I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love?" "No, I mean Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, or whatever it's called." What an idiot. "Um, that isn't their first CD. And I advise you to get your poser ass out of here before I tell my boss you were shoplifting." The boy quickly walked out of the store, and Audrey noticed a guy that was standing pretty close to her.
"You heard that, didn't you?" She wasn't afraid though; she just grinned as she said it. Almost as if she was proud of it or something. "I know I'm a bitch, but I can't stand posers coming in here. They're ruining society." Maybe that was a bit much, but they were ruining the school system. Almost everyone looked the same, and they tried to like the music that was on the radio, regardless of the genre.

Josh watched a girl with bright pink hair talking to some poser asking about MCR's first CD. He could remember Sydney saying she had met a girl with pink hair, he could have sworn she said the girl's name was Audrey or something. Eh, guess she works here. Just by listening to their conversation, he could tell that the guy wouldn't know Gerard Way if he slapped the poser on the face. If he himself had the chance, he probably would slap the posers. It would serve them right, so he thought. At least he would get some fun out of it.
Josh simply rolled his eyes, they were all the same. They say they love a band, but try and start a conversation with them and they have no clue what you're talking about. It always amused him watching their confused faces. He had been trying to figure out what Sydney hadn't already got that was on display, when he could have sworn the girl was talking to him. "Heard every word of it. But really I don't care if you're a bitch to them. I hate them too." Josh shrugged, looking at her.
"Oh, the name's Josh. I think you've met my sister Sydney. Lemme guess... You're Audrey, right?" Josh said, a small smile on his face. It may have seemed weird, bur Sydney usually never shut up about people she had just met. Especially when they had alot in common with her. He always guessed it was just because she was a girl, maybe she just had a fiery personality. If Sydney did have a fiery personality, it would definitely match her hair perfectly.

Audrey was a little relieved when he said he didn't care. She had a bit of uncertainty about how the boy would respond. "They need to learn the boundaries or they're gonna get their asses kicked. I don't think they get that though." They never seemed to learn. But one day they would, and they would be afraid of the emoey kids all over again. They would be left alone. I can't wait for that.
A grin spread on her lips. "Yeah, that's my name. You're sister's pretty cool. So is her hair. I always like to see someone stick out like that." Audrey herself stuck out. If pink hair wasn't enough, then there was a problem. That was when society would hit rock bottom and there would be no one who was different. That was when Audrey would just about kill herself. Never would she blend in.
"Well, it's nice to meet you," Audrey smiled. She studied Josh quickly, and instantly thought he was cute. He had a lip ring, which definitely was a plus. Piercings or tattoos were always a good thing to her. She had a few herself, her ear lobes and her septum. Not many peopl she knew had their septum pierced, which she loved.

Josh was somewhat relieved to know he had got Audrey's name right, and hadn't just made a freaking prat out of himself. He smiled when he mentioned Sydney's hair. "Yeah, she isn't Sydney without the orange hair. I think it matches he personality, really." He grinned. He knew Sydeny loved being different in any way she could. Even if it meant dying her hair a mix of orange and yellow colors. Some people had even called it 'oredange', so he had been told. Unless it was his sister's wild imagination.
"Nice to meet you too," He grinned. Fiddling with his lip ring, he looked at Audrey. Even though she was the same age as his sister, she was still cute. Not many people had a septum piercing. Come to thing about it, probably nobody else he knew did. But there was something about Audrey, something different from all the other girls he knew. What it was exactly he didn't know.
Josh brushed his fringe out of his eyes. He couldn't think of one thing to say. It happened alot when he was around girls he liked. He could never think of anything to say, and if he did he wouldn't say it in fear of making an idiot of himself or it all coming out wrong. That was something Josh hated about himself, and was probably the reason he had only ever hadn't had a girlfriend since he finished school. Who's fault is that?

Audrey smiled at his comment. "Haha, I love dying my hair weird colors just so I stand out. I love being different." She had wanted to be different for as long as she could remember. It made her feel great, like she was doing something right. Her attire and personality weren't contributing to making society have no diversity. Audrey actually felt like she was making a difference.
She smiled, glad she had met someone like him. They were similar enough, and he was definitely cute. There weren't many people that caught her eye in Livingston Heights, and if you did, you really had to be special. Audrey didn't stop and talk to just any kid who looked like her type. Granted, she had started talking to him because she thought he heard her, but if he really didn't look all that cool she wouldn't have spoken.
"So, would I be right in guessing you don't go to school?" Audrey hadn't seen him around, and that usually meant they didn't attend the school. Having been there a while, she noticed new faces, and she hadn't seen his. Unless I just really didn't notice him. But I doubt that.

"Well, at least it suits you." Josh smiled. Some people dyed their hair crazy colors and just looked ridiculous, but there were a few certain people that could dye their hair and still look good. Sydney and Audrey were the only people he knew didn't look bad, but for all he knew there could be plenty of other people in Livingston. That was the problem of not being at school, it wasn't that often you met new people unless you went out almost everyday.
He raised an eyebrow, at Audrey's question. "You are correct, unless they've extended school and you still have to go when you're nineteen." Josh said with a faint smile. He would have hated that. Going to school until eighteen was bad enough. Having to go for another extra year would be terrible. Especially considering that they had already covered everything, and it would all just be repeated.
"Though, you might have seen me when we moved. But even then I was only at Livingston for a year." His twelve months at Livingston High weren't exactly his favorite. All of the cliques had drove him mad, and the teachers even more so. They were all dull, boring, and were constantly blaming him for things he didn't do. If the guy infront of him had been blowing spit wads, he was the one to be blamed.

Audrey laughed slightly, stating, "I've dyed my hair many colors until I found one that really suited me. Though most of them looked fine, I liked this color best." Her hair had been browns, blues, blondes, and even rainbow colors. This color just seemed to work best though. And she liked it the best too. Pink is my color. For sure.
"Oh, they haven't done that. Thank God, 'cause I don't think I'd last," Audrey grinned. The school was bad enough for her. The cliques were terrible to each other, and the fights always ended in some type of disaster. She just never understood the point in it. It made absolutely no sense. It just shows how stupid we are.
Audrey thought for a second. "I don't think I saw you. But it was probably because I had a boyfriend then, we didn't exactly spend very much time in school." During her relationship with Chuck, they skipped together quite often. It wasn't that she wouldn't have skipped anyway, but they skipped a little more than she would have. But, that was over.

Josh smiled. "I know how you feel. I'd probably skip than I have through the rest of my school carreer." He used to skip around twice a week, but if that happened he would probably skip all five. Even if he got caught, he would probably get suspened. And in that kind of situation, to him it would be a good thing. At least he wouldn't have to go to school for a couple of days at least.
"I'd be surprised if you said you didn't have a boyfriend now." Josh said. He was quite surprised he had the guts to say it, but his words had already been spoken. He had never really bothered about girls, but most of them that he knew all wore tiny skirts and too much make-up. They were almost all the same, plastic preppy bitches. And of course he hated them all too.
Josh shoved his hands in his pockets. Sydney and himself had a bad habit of it, but whenever they tried to stop they would just shove their hands in their hoodie pockets. He had never known why exactly, he just guessed that one of them had started it and it rubbed off on the other.

Audrey laughed. "I'd just not go. I'd be like, 'I've done my time, I don't need anymore.' School can be like a prison." Sometimes the teachers seemed as though they were guards. You took too long and they though you skipped for a while. Quite stupid, I think. She always doubted the teachers' abilities.
She grinned at his comment. "Well, then I guess you should be surprised. I don't have a boyfriend." She really didn't think she was very pretty. Audrey saw herself as being just like the other girls in the clique. She wasn't special or different. "You probably have a girlfriend though. You're too nice to not have one." He just seemed like the guy every girl would want as her boyfriend.
Okay, so she wasn't so sure about her last statement, but she thought it was true. Josh was much nicer than a lot of guys she had met. Most of the guys just wanted to hook up with her and flirted with her nonstop, even in a store on a day like this. He was definitely better than all of them. And that was why she pretty much had a huge crush on him already.

"Y'know, that sounds alot better than just going and just skipping." Josh grinned. Once he went to school but didn't attend one lesson at all, except Homeroom. He wasn't sure why he even went to school, but it was better than being moaned at by his mom. At the time, Josh was only fifteen, and their mom could be pretty scary when she wanted to be. Now it didn't work as good as it did then.
Josh looked at Audrey, honestly surprised she wasn't going out with somebody. She seemed like the type of girl that everybody in her clique would want to date. "Oh, I am surprised. Really, I'm actually very shocked." He smiled. When he was at Livingston there were always rumors flying around about somebody having a crush on sokebody else. They never involved him, which surprised him slightly as everybody made up rumors about everyone.
Josh looked at the floor slightly at Audrey's comment. "Well, I don't. Really I haven't had a very long relationship with anyone since I moved here." He said. It made him sound like a dork but it was true. He knew alot more girls than he did boys, but they all saw him as just a friend. But he had forgotten all about them right now. He had only actually met Audrey in person no more than fifteen minutes ago he already had a big crush on her.
