"Let me guess...MCR," Chuck replied, figuring her to be one of those girls who was completely obsessed with those type of popular bands which he rather avoided. "And, hmmm...." He didn't know many Canadian bands ad pretty much blanked out on her second favorite group.

Keela nodded. "Yeah, I like them. My other favouite band is Hedley." She smiled at the thought of the band. "They're really good." She felt a cool wind on her arms, so she untied her sweater from her waist, and slipped it over her head. "But there's other stuff I like." She looked around. 'Like being here, in the cemetery,' she thought.

"Oh cool, you'll have to let me borrow a CD of them sometime," Chuck replied, interested to hear what this Canadian band sounded like. "And what is this other stuff you say?" Chuck questioned her, watching as she put her sweater on. He zipped his jacket up a little more as the wind picked up and rested his hands in the empty pockets of his jacket.

"Yeah, I will," Keela said. She heard Chuck's question, and she thought for a moment. "Well, like being here, reading, listening to new bands." She brought her legs close to her, wrapping her arms around them and then put her heads on her knees. "What about you? What do you like to do?"

Chuck nodded lightly to her responded as he watched her get more comfortable on the ground. He hesitated before answering her question, knowing that he couldn't be completely honest with her. It was strange for him to be talking with someone who didn't know what was top on his favorite things to do list.
"Sing mostly I guess..." he replied simply.

Keela looked at Chuck, and raised her right eyesbrow. "What kind of things do you sing?" she asked. She lifted her head and looked up at the sky, reaching for bright stars. She locked her fingers together. "Is there a reason you like singing, did someone influence you, or do you just like sing for the hell of it?" She put her head back on her knees, looking at Chuck.

"I started singing because my parents hated me for it," Chuck answered with an honest grin. He glanced up at the darkened sky and then back at Keela.
"Well, I basically write my own sort of electro/pop type songs. You know like underground bandish type songs like you hear from Paramore and bands like that. But I'll sing anything if I'm handed the music," he admitted to her, for it was true that he would randomly go from singing The Beatles to Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Keela laughed. "Do you do anything else because your parents don't like it?" She never had parents for very long, and it always was interesting to know how some kids listen to their, and other didn't. "That's so cool that you write you're own stuff. I don't like it when others steal stuff from others, and call it their own. Or have someone else write their songs for them, or something like that." She closed her eyes.

Chuck nodded again, agreeing to her statement that it was annoying when singers had other people write for them or just redid old songs.
"Let's see...I stay out of the Livingston Royalty group because my parents would rather have me be a part of it. I drink often when I go to parties because my parents don't like it..." he paused as he stopped himself before listing anything further, thinking 'I have sex with just about everyone because my parents think I should have one steady girlfriend throughout high school.'
"And basically just about everything else I do is because of the same reasons," Chuck finished his rant off. He tried to imagine himself in Keela's situation and wondered how he would act if he didn't have his parents there to constantly annoy him. Well, he would probably be even more of a disaster.

Keela opened her eyes and blinked. "You? In Livingston Royalty?" Keela laughed at the idea. She may not have knew Chuck for very long, but the thought of him in a group like the Livingston Royalty, was, well, laughable. "Well, I guess it's a good thing you aren't in the Livingston Royalty. You don't seem like the type to be in the Livingston Royalty, anyways." She leaned her head against the tree. "Sometimes I wish my parents were still alive, even if it was to boss me around and tell me what to do. Weird, huh?"

"Haha, yeah I know, it seems rather strange," Chuck replied with a grin, not ashamed to laugh at such an absurd possibilty of his life. "But, you would be surprised how well I would be able to pass it off if I only tried."
Chuck tried not to feel a sense of awkwardness as Keela brought up that she would love to have parents around to boss her around. He began to have a guilty feeling, and started to realize how much he took advantage of his parents. Chuck attempted to shake the guilty feeling out as he explained to himself that Keela didn't understand how annoying it was...but yet maybe he would have wished the same thing if he was her.
"And, no, it's not weird, I guess..." Chuck assured her. "I can see where you're coming from."

Keela looked at Chuck and smiled. "Thanks." She leaned her head against the tree again and closed her eyes. "But I think if they would around, I would probably wish they weren't. I seen that happen." She closed her eyes for a minute, picturing her parents. Felling tear form at the back of her eyes, she know she couldn't talk about her parents right now anymore. She opened her eyes and looked at Chuck. "O.K, enough talking about sad, depressing stuff." She jumpped up. "Do you know what time it is?"

Chuck got up along with her, startled by her random jumping up from the ground. He was glad that she had decided to stop talking about the depressing fact of her parents not being around because he was getting lost in ways to response to her awkward feelings about the situation.
He slipped his hand into one of the side pockets of his jeans and pulled out his beloved iPhone and checked the time. "Eh, only 10:48, why?" Chuck questioned her, wondering if there was anything urgent she had to do or something.

"Only 10:48!!" Keela exclaimed. "Wow, I have over an hour before Julia and Steve get home." She looked around the cemetery, then back at Chuck. "Do you want to walk around or something," she asked. She stuffed her hands into her sweater pocket and waited for Chuck's answer. Weather Chuck said yes or no, Keela was still going to go walk around the cemetery. She loved it there, and if she could, she would live there.

Chuck was immediately glad that Keela agreed that 10:48 was early and not like 'omg it's totally past my bedtime' or something to that effect. He shoved his phone back into its home, also known as his pocket, and looked back over at Keela.
"Uh, yeah, sure," Chuck responded to her invitation, a little shaky on the answer. The reason to this shakiness was due to the fact that Chuck had never been asked such a simple question as that, rather he was the one who would ask questions similar to that but they would lead to something that didn't involve walking.
